Gavin Rossdale - Love Remains the Same

Drink, to all that we have lost
Mistakes we have made
Everything will change
But love remains the same

So much more to say.

Lost voice, lost boy still wanted to hang out though no words could be said.  He sends a message, "Let's go to Yerba Buena park."  It's 11pm.  A little late, but, why not?  We get there and run around like little children in the vast and empty playground, dashing from structure to structure, observing and fiddling with levers and knobs to run water and sand through the irrigation systems.  I haven't slid down a slide in...I can't even remember when.  It's been too long.  The rush of slipping through a tunnel and landing hard on rubber foam floor is nostalgic.  We wander through a maze and keep from stepping on snails, the paths lit by our cellphone screens.  Find a small labyrinth.  Figure the way out.  It's not the first time.  I laugh.  All that's missing is the moon and the ocean, but the streetlamps and puddles left by yesterday's rain are reminiscent of the past.  Explored the vicinity.  Neon lights illuminate the area--purple, orange, and teal.  Attempted Parkour (not really), climbing and jumping off rails.  We walk in silence.  The night is crisp, the air is clear.  The sky is lacking, but the concrete shimmers like stars.  Found ourselves a wishing tree.  Read the wishes dangling off each branch, the ones we could reach.  Wishes for love, happiness, and health, scrawled in childish handwriting--small hands, big hearts, and even bigger dreams.  I wished.  He wished.  But we wished for nothing, really.  Continued, meandering into the streets of Down Town.  The quiet is broken by mad men singing, conversing with themselves.  It's midnight.

It's good to be back in the city.

:)
Funny thing is, when I got home from Davis, I was scared Aldo wouldn't remember me, seeing how I hadn't been home in a month.

I had nothing to worry about.

While I was throwing up my Friday night all the way into Saturday's evening, he kept trying to climb on to my lap.

That really was the only highlight of that dreadful day.  It's pretty traumatizing waking up and not remembering how you got home (fault of my own), with no recollection of the last hour of yesterday's event, and then finding a suggestive message left on your facebook by someone you don't really know and apparently has a criminal record, along with two bruises the size of a large grapefruit on your right thigh.  But everything turned out alright for the most part, considering the circumstances.  I was not compromised!  Thank god for D.  I never want to sort out my life again like that, ever.

Live and learn, live and learn.

Cheers.

...So it wasn't one of my finer moments in life (though, we did have a pretty good time).  A lot of things happened, I'm sorry!

Thank you for being there, thank you for caring, and thank you for being such a giving person.

Thank you for not holding me to a standard, thank you for not judging.  Thank you for not being disappointed.  Thank you for understanding.

But most of all, thank you for being someone I can depend on.  It was very 'Knight in Shining Armor'-esque of you last night--and god, I really needed some saving then.

It's good to know we'll be in each others lives for a long time, Cupcake Boy.

Sincerely,

Angry Girl

Miscommunication.

So he says to me, "Do you like baking?"--stressing on the word baking.  He continues, "A few of my friends want me to teach them.  Are you down!?"

At 7am in the morning, a long time past since this conversation had occurred, I now realize what he had meant.

Oh my god.  I thought he had really meant baking, so I replied back very ecstatically, "Yea!!!  I love baking!!!"  He seemed a little taken back at my reaction, but never-less, pleasantly surprised.

Great.

I'm sure now he thinks I'm an open pothead with an addiction problem.  WHYYYYYYYY DID I NOT CATCH THAT?!  WHYYYY?!!

Anyway, on a brighter--irrelevant--note, I found a club that's just opened (kind of) in SF that's actually playing House music this Friday instead of the usual top 40's crap.

Interest piqued.  Sounds to me like a good way to celebrate after-Finals.  Yay :)
So the beauty/fashion/etc. blog that D and I planned decades ago has finally taken form and come to life.  I'm pretty proud of what we've accomplished and how we're going about it; I think it's very informative (but concise) and aesthetically pleasing.  The age group of our audience, so far that I know of, is between 18-28.  Woo!

So here's to my first EOTD [Eye of the Day, beauty junkie lingo]--procrastination at its finest.

I call it, 'A Slightly Bruised Look.'
